A Week in the Life of Robin, Volume 1

I'm officially stealing this from jenepel because it looks like fun and plus, I was actually doing more stuff than sitting around this week. Woot. I officially started Saturday, but since I didn't have internet access while I was moving, I'm putting up Saturday and Sunday's pictures up today (I know, I know, I'm breaking Rule # 3). So here we go, a Saturday in the life of Robin.

The Rules: A Week in the Life

1. Take between 6 and 8 new photographs per day.
2. Your picture days must be consecutive - no skipping days!
3. Post your photographs at the end of that day, some time after the last picture is taken.
4. Your post should be titled “A Week in the Life of [name], Volume [whatever day you're on].”
5. Link back to your earlier entries.

It's moving day in Robin land. Yes, I am leaving Tucson and moving back home to Yuma for the time being. Which means I have to leave my pretty pretty house. Sad.

Check out the number of boxes. It's insane. This isn't even all of it. There were boxes on the other side of the room too. Jgeez, when did I glean all this stuff?

And that's how tall the pile is. Shish-kabob.

There's all my stuff in the moving truck headed to the storage unit. The name of the moving company? Two Guys and a Truck. Cute, but completely misleading. Later, another truck pulled up with another two guys. I'm going to petition that they change their name to Four Guys and Two Trucks.

My dad didn't want to leave the dogs at home while we were in Tucson, so he brought them with him (I swear, they are my parents' replacement children. And no one batted an eyelash about leaving my cat home alone. Sheesh.), so I took the puppies for a ride to the bank while the moving guys were filling up the storage unit. Say hello to the camera, Katie and GW.

I wanted a cool night picture from my patio, since I have an awesome view, but Tucson is very concerned about light pollution, so it's a very dark city. Nothing to see here, move along...

Our sleeping arrangements for the night. We kinda forgot about the whole not having furniture thing, so we had to blow up the air mattresses and buy some chairs from Sam's Club. And then, my mom's bed had a hole in it, so she had to sleep in mine. It was a wee bit crowded in my bedroom.

And while everyone is sleeping, I'm watching Bones. I know I should be sleeping at this point, since some people like to get me up early and not provide me with caffeine, but Bones is that good.

That's some insane box situation there.

I know, right? How did that situation get so out of control?

I am quite convinced that stuff multiplies the moment you go to put it in boxes. It hides in corners breeding like bunnies until boom! you suddenly need another 20 boxes.

Frankly, I'm a little afraid to go back to the storage shed since they will have plenty of time to be fruitful and multiply.

I'm so excited people are doing it - I just thought it was such a cool meme and I'm loving seeing all the pics.

Your moving looks so much more organised than mine. All those nice neat matching boxes stacked up pretty. That is a whole lotta stuff though...

You used boxes to move? Interesting concept. We really did move using garbage bags.

And there are a bunch of two guys and a truck around here. LIARS!

Well, I normally go the trash bag route, but that doesn't work so well for dishes.

An easier name would be "Two Guys PER Truck." No loose ends there...
