A Day in the Life of Robin, Volume 5 (Holy jgeez! Already?)
So, my Wednesday was a bit more busy than my last couple of days. The result? More interesting pictures.

The Rules
Previous entries: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4

So, you may be wondering what Pua is doing all day as I snap these pictures. This pretty much sums it up.

I was in Yuma pretty much all day today. What do you need to know about Yuma? Hmm, after Phoenix and Vegas, it's the third fastest growing city in the US. The people on the train were going to Yuma in "The 3:10 to Yuma." We are stone's throw away from California and Mexico. It's really hot here. Apparently, we are the sunniest city in the nation (take that, Florida!). Our population triples in the winter from the geriatric set. Cesar Chavez was born here. Oh, and I shouldn't leave out the sand dunes, where many movies, including Star Wars, were filmed. Sorry, that was really boring. That's Yuma for ya.

First stop: doctor's office. Don't worry, I didn't go for any reason in particular. I just haven't had a doctor since I was in pediatrics and I figured that I might as well snag one. I thought he was going to tell me that I was too fat and needed to lose some weight, but he didn't, so that made me happy. Oh, and think the guy likes golf much?

I needed at least one picture of myself today.

Got a mani/pedi while my mom got her hair done. You can tell, but the flowers on my toes are really cute. And now all you guys can see how small and freakish looking my dancer toes are.

For some reason,. my mom decided that it was a good idea to go to Lowes and Home Depot. And you guys know what's scary? My first thought was, "wow, somewhere in Arkansas, Mr. Mags is feeling frisky." And then I hit myself in the head when I realized what I just thought, haha. But, the trip wasn't a total bust. Those birdies were cute. And there were freakin' plumeria trees at Lowes! I almost jumped up on the platform and did a happy dance. Plumerias are my favorite flowers and I've ALWAYS wanted a plumeria tree, and apparently, they grow really well here, but we've never been able to find them. We bought 3! Woot!

This is Yuma's one and only mall. Some genius decided to build an outdoor mall, like the malls in San Diego. Dude, this is not frakkin' San Diego. It's 120 degrees in July, for crying out loud! And then, the idiot decided to put a mile between some of the stores so you have to get in your car to drive everywhere. It's a pain in the ass, I tell you. But, even though it's a hassle, it's one stop shopping, so it's all good, I guess.

Rather than take the backroads to go pick up my mom from school, I took the freeway so I can show you the California state line *waves to lulu*. But, don't tell lulu I took the picture while I was driving.

When Lindsey and I were cleaning out my closet, I found this disposable camera and I had absolutely no idea what was on it. I took it in today and it turns out it was pictures from a couple years ago of my buddy Aaron (Heather's brother) and I doing our Halloween festivities. We went to a corn maze and a concert at Old Tucson Studios (where they filmed a lot of westerns back in the day). Here's some of the good ones.

Wow, it's a lot easier to do this when I actually did something interesting all day. Fun stuff.

See everyone tomorrow!

When you have to get in the car to go from store to store, it is not "one-stop"! That is many stops!

Um. At least your "middle of nowhere" is a city. There's nothing in Ringwood.

I live about 40 minutes from the city, so that's the part that's the middle of nowhere. My closest neighbor is more than a mile away. And Yuma isn't really near any other cities. It's a 2 1/2 hr drive o Phoenix or San Diego and a 3 hr drive to Tucson. Hee, it's not in the most convient location, I guess.

Hee, wel, before w had that mall, those stores used to be across town from each other, so instead of hitting Target and Sam's Club on different days, we can hit them on the same day now. And that, my friend, is our warped sense of one stop shopping, evem though you have to drive across the mall to get to Sam's Club from Target :)

New icon? Love it! That's from when Patty was on Bandstand, right? I'm off to check to see if you have any others now.

Ah, I didn't realize you weren't in the same town as the city stuff. And wow! 2 1/2-3 hrs! That's insane!

I knew you would like that icon! I loved that scene and when I saw that icon, I had to have it.

Yeah, I've been back east a couple times and I couldn't believe how close all the towns were together. A 2 1/2 hour drive to the next cit does't seem that long to me, haha.

It only takes 3 hours to drive the entire length of Jersey!

Pua is so cute!! I need a flat that allows pets - right now I have to go to my parents' house to get my animal fix.

Pua is my college kitty. My aunt and uncle got her for me before I moved away for school and she has been with me ever since. I love having a pet with me because it feels like I'm never completely alone, you know? Good companionship. I think she's cute too, but I'm biased.

And he
Really comes in handy
'Specially when you're all alone in the night
And you're small and terribly frightened
And Sandy
Sandy who'll always be there...

(Sorry, I was just watching a movie and that song reminded me of what you just were saying about pets.)

OMG! Mr. mags would be sooo ruined if he knew he made your post! I almost peed my pants. Don't do that to a girl of my advanced age. Have I told you how much I'm loving the week in the life of Robin? I am. It's a great idea. Too bad I never go anywhere but home or work. BTW, Mr. Mags and I had a hot date to Wal-Mart last night. We had to get kitty (bunny) litter for Tim, dog food because we buy their groceries before ours, shock for the pool, and he bought me a 12 pack of Caffiene Free Diet Coke. Man, I tell ya, the guy is an operator! What girl could resist, I ask ya...

Hee! I should give a warning next time. Poor Mr. Mags, but I swear to God that was the first thing that came to mind the minute I pulled into the Home Depot, and then I started to laugh, and my mom wanted to know why I was laughing, and I had to pull an ''oh, nothing, I'm just crazy'' line. She is used to this from me by now, haha.

Ooo, Wal-Mart. Mr. Mags is so suave.

Aw, such a cute little kitty.

You have hilarious toes. You should wear toe socks.

Those 'birdies' freak me out.

You should use some golf terminology in front of your doctor, and you'll soon become his favourite patient.

I love toe socks!

Yes, I know. My toes are weird. There is no reason to laugh and point :)

Hee, there is literally golf stuff all over that doctor's office, and after he asked me all the medical history questions and it got really quiet, I said, ''sooo, you like golf?'' That got a laugh. Oh, and I forgot to tell everyone what the clinic was called...Up 2 Par. Ha!
