My Personal Hell
Since I'm not sure if my email sent from my phone last night, I just wanted to do a quick entry to let Filo and the rest of the SCPP know that I'm alive. I haven't just abandoned you guys, I haven't checked on my Virtual Villagers in 2 days. They are probably all dead and I'm going to have to pull a Filo and start over.

So, I'm back in Tucson with my mom packing up the rest of the house. I really really hate packing. Plus, Mom woke me up at 8 and didn't provide me with any caffeine so I feel like I'm moving in slo-mo. I'm at Home Depot right now, and if you thought I hated packing, it's nothing compared to my intense hatred for all things Home Depot. I think my own personal hell would be me trapped in Home Depot with a giant box of screws to sort and with ''Rockabye'' and the songs of Fergie playing on an endless loop in the background. Oy.

I owe everyone a giant post about my car issues (or more like my issues) so that's hopefully coming soon (along with pictures). Man, everytime I sat down to type that story out, I got exhausted. Oh, and I'll tell you about the job interview I had yesterday too. Woot!

But, for now, I either need to dig out my iPod or jab a screwdriver in my ear (I'm sure they have an abundance of them here), because if I hear one more Fergie song, I may go insane.

ETA: We are making a 2nd trip to Home Depot. Kill me now.
Current Location: Home Depot
Current Mood: annoyedannoyed
Current Music: ''Big Girls Don't Cry''--Fergie

LOL. Aww, sounds like you are completely over whelmed by everything. I hope you get done with everything soon. I was kind worried the other day when you texted me, you sounded like you were really like.. IDK. Just don't do anything crazy.

Nope, I didn't get your email. Whew! Good to know you are alive and kicking. And I swear I wasn't just looking for you because I want that 'Booty Call' update. ;-)

You didn't pause the game? Man, I hope all your villagers didn't die. I think you were far enough along that they can get along without you for a while. Wow, if they are, you will have accumulated a shish kabob load of tech points.

My villagers are still alive and kicking. The original ones have started to die off, but you were impregnated a few times by Luke and Little Luke before they kicked the bucket, so you should be happy.

Job interview? WOOT!

Fergie, huh? She's been known to radio stalk me. I swear there was a month while I was pregnant that she was on the radio on every snarfing station whenever I got into the car. I'm glad to know she has found a new victim.

And there is no need to jab a screwdriver into your ear - Home Depot carries earplugs.

ETA: And I just noticed you referred to having to start over in VIrtual Villagers as "pulling a Filo." Nice.

Hee, never know if you are checkin' up on me or just looking to read some Booty Call smut. It's hard to tell with you :)

I forgot to pause the stupid game because I normally just put it on slow when I'm gone for a long time. I thought I would check in on them later that night but then I got busy cleaning out my closets and then I left for Tucson, so there you go. Woot to your villagers still being alive and woot to me being knocked up by both Lukes! Did you name my children after fruit?

Hee, pulling a Filo is so appropriate for starting the game over. I never started mine over, hahaha.

Filo: How Dare You Kellyfilo77 on June 6th, 2008 02:41 am (UTC)
I'm still waiting on the smut, but I can wait longer since I need to finish up two fics and send them your way.

Boo to not pausing! I started pausing on my commute to work because I was afraid something would happen. And yes, Your spawn have all been named after fruit: Peach, Apple, Banana, and Boysenberry.

Pink and I decided that I should name one of my real children Pomegranate Honeycutt (assuming I give the children my last name, of course). It has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

I like our dueling Office icons war. I'm so gonna win.
Filo: Headdesk Jimfilo77 on June 6th, 2008 06:13 pm (UTC)
I like that name!

And you will win the Office icon war. I think this was the last one I have.

I was just thinking about how you haven't checked in lately and I was going to check in with you on Facebook. I'm glad you're still around, not glad you're not caffeinated, and certainly not glad you're having car issues.

Aw, people miss me! That makes me happy. I feel so disconnected from the world right now. Hopefully I get some time to catch up with stuff tonight, especially since I finished American Dreams on Tuesday and I wanted to talk about it with you!

Hee, my car issues are more funny and the result of my own stupidity than sad. Hopefully I can get my bumper back on the car this week, because it gets much better gas milage than my mom's Yukon and my dad's truck. (story to come, there's my teaser for you).

I finished American Dreams on Tuesday and I wanted to talk about it with you!
Eeee!! I was thinking about that, too! I'm so anxious to talk about it! Head over to the thread, pronto!

Can you believe Filo's still not done with season 1? It's taking her forever!
robinpoppins: American Dreams: Meg & Rox Dancerobinpoppins on June 6th, 2008 05:17 pm (UTC)
I knew you would be excited about that! Now I just have to remember all the stuff I wanted to tell you, haha.

Maybe if we say it loud enough, Filo will be encouraged to finish. But, then again, Filo owes me a couple of stories and I want her to write. Decisions, decisions.
Filo: Oh Boy LGfilo77 on June 6th, 2008 06:17 pm (UTC)
This weekend. I meant to bring the DVDs with me when I stayed at my parents, but we couldn't find them in the mess of the water heater mishap. This weekend I'm determined to finish season one and get into season two.

And I'll be writing too. Your fic stuff is way past deadline. I don't think mine is.

Adina: amdr: meg rox hmmmadinarj on June 6th, 2008 06:32 pm (UTC)
We're just anxious is all. We know real life stuff like water heaters and JJ come first.
Filo: FiloDoughBoy Poutfilo77 on June 6th, 2008 06:35 pm (UTC)
I love that you didn't include the husband in that list.

Because seriously, at this point it's American Dreams, writing, and JJ. Oh and food. For this weekend the husband has been bumped down towards the bottom of the priority list ;-)
Adina: amdr: helen and jackadinarj on June 6th, 2008 06:46 pm (UTC)
Eh, you can find time with Jeremy. He can understand why you want to write or watch the show. Or at least you can force him to accept it. The other stuff is less flexible.
Adina: Meg and Roxanneadinarj on June 6th, 2008 06:28 pm (UTC)
There's nothing that says she can't split her free time! Write for half the time; watch AD the other half. Or write one night, watch one night. It doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing situation!

Well, the biggest question is will you ever be able to listen to "Homeward Bound" again without feeling sad?
grizzly_mouse: LWFTWTgrizzly_mouse on June 6th, 2008 12:25 am (UTC)
Aw man, moving back home again is hard - I know I suddenly felt like a guest in the home I grew up in.

GAH! Can't type today, I keep hitting the caps lock by mistake and then it looks like I'm yelling at you.

Good luck with the job interview - fingers crossed for you.
robinpoppins: GG: LL karaokerobinpoppins on June 6th, 2008 01:25 am (UTC)
I know, it's really weird. I feel like I can't stay up as late as I want or eat what I want or go out without asking. And I had to clean out my closets in order to squeeze my stuff in and most of that stuff I hadn't touched since I moved out. It's not bad, it's just weird.

Hee, I've had a spelling problem for a few weeks now. It's like my brain knows I'm no longer in school so I don't have to work as hard anymore.
grizzly_mouse: R&Rgrizzly_mouse on June 6th, 2008 01:38 am (UTC)
Oh believe me I've been there. My parents' house is really open plan so not only does the light from the living room shine down the stairs and into my parents' room but you are also directly above them with wooden floors so they hear every move no matter how quiet you try to be. It also doesn't help that I am a night owl whereas my dad goes to bed really early and gets up at sparrow fart.

I also had to try to fit an apartment's worth of stuff into a single bedroom. This wasn't helped by the fact that I hadn't really taken much with me when I moved out so I now essentially had double of everything. It became even worse after I bought my house since there was a four month period before I settled and then another 6 months while I renovated where I was living at home but also buying furniture so that I was ready to move in when the house was done. By the time I moved out you couldn't move in my bedroom, the hallway or the living room as I had bought a dining table, two large cabinets and numerous other items with no where to store them.
robinpoppins: GG: LL counterrobinpoppins on June 6th, 2008 05:31 pm (UTC)
Oh ny gosh, I know! My parents are the same way. My dad's a farmer and he gets up at 2am to go bail hay and he's like, ''what are you still doing up? You need to go to bed.'' Ugh!

I'm moving my stuff into a storage shed for the time being There's no way I can fit 3 bedrooms worth of stuff into one bedroom.

If you don't know by now Robin. Go missing and I will worry. Ask Filo. I actually found her e-mail and asked if everything was all right, and this was when I didn't even know her that well yet.

lulu's flock that where all you guys are. So deal baby.

What is this villagers business? Sims or something?
robinpoppins: HIMYM: Barney uh yeahrobinpoppins on June 6th, 2008 05:53 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it's a little like the Sims, only you are controlling an entire village and you have to teach them how to gather food and build huts and make babies and such. Plus, there's puzzles you have to solve along the way to learn more about ''the secrets of the island.'' They have 3 versions out right now and Filo and I are both playing the 3rd one. She named all her islanders after GG characters, and a couple after online people. I got knocked up by Luke and Little Luke, apparently, and my children are named after fruit.
