Because I Must...
This looked like too much fun to pass up, because I do love icons. So, here we are:

I decided to do this alphabetically, rather than the order they are on my userpic page because, well, alphabetical makes me happier. Also, I have 105 icons (yep, I've filled up all my space. How sad is that?), so I did every 10 icons.

This is my default icon. I took this picture of myself last year when I was experimenting with being a brunette. I was drinking coffee and chilling before I had to leave for class and was like, "hey, I should take a picture of myself" (my logic is not always sane. Just go with the flow here). Then, I added the squares when I was playing with photoshop. I liked how it turned out. My best friend, Sarah, absolutely loves this picture of me. She said she wanted it on her fridge so I would be a constant presence in her house (for some reason. Her logic is sometimes crazier than mine, sometimes.)

I made this after our New Years Disneyland trip because I really needed a Disneyland icon (and, oh yeah, this was another instance of me playing with filters). I've been there too many times to not have an icon. This is the old Disneyland sign that used to be at the entrance before California Adventure. I remember that sign so well. I heard a rumor that John Stamos bought it. Weird, huh?

I think this sums up everything I love about Lorelai in one image. And, this is totally something I would do, so it reminds me of how similar Lorelai and I are sometimes. I generally use this when I'm talking about school (because it's the "going off to college walk," of course)

I just found this one and I really like it. I just think it has cute Luke and Lorelai expressions.

I don't know, I just really love this one (and, ya know, I have a girl crush on Lorelai/Lauren Graham. I can't help it). The coloring is pretty and I like the cropping of the image.

How could you not love this picture? It's Lorelai, her pretty red coat, snow, and Luke's! All elements that make a great icon.

I needed some House icons, and this one made me laugh, so there you go. Classic House. Also, the roomie gives me a hard time because I told her that I found Hugh Laurie very attractive. I don't see what's so wrong about that. He's got pretty eyes, a great sense of humor,  and a British accent. What's not to love?

I needed a Lost icon, and I was once again (and say it with me this time) playing with photoshop. I'm not really shippy about any show (well, with the exception of GG, and most recently, Pushing Daisies), but I wouldn't mind seeing Jack and Kate together somewhere down the road. But, then again, I wouldn't be heartbroken if they didn't end up together. I trust the Lost writers to make the right decisions.

Yay Pushing Daisies! My  favorite new show from last fall's batch. Like I said above, I'm getting pretty shippy over Ned and Chuck. They are just too squee-worthy for words. And, ya know, the fact that they can never touch each other makes things interesting (hence the saran wrap kiss). This is probably my favorite scene so far, probably because I was just as shocked as Ned was when Chuck attacked him with the saran wrap. Too cute!

I don't know why I like this one so much. I just do. I think Scott Patterson looks really nice in this pic. And I'm still trying to ignore the fact that he is 2 years older than my dad (thank you to my father, who, after discovering imdb and looking at all the GG actors' pages, announced this to me. I'm still not quite over it.)

I needed a TWoP icon, I found this one, and there you go.

Man, my icons are really GG heavy. I can't help it, I'm afraid. It's not like I don't watch other shows. You should see my weekly viewing schedule.

So, going home this weekend was fun. Got to see the family and throw the roomie a bridal shower. That turned out really nice.  Mom and I decided to do a Hawaiian theme, since that's where Heather and Scott are going for their honeymoon, and we decorated when I got home on Friday. We have a TON of Hawaiian decorations saved up since this year's VBS theme is Polynesian and my mom has already taught umteen kajillion VBS conferences (and wrote the adult literature) on the theme since January. Ummm, what else? We made so much food. Mom made shredded tri-tip (because it isn't a Yuma/Dome/Wellton party without some sort of tri-tip), and I made my now famous coconut chicken (which I didn't know was famous until I found out that Heather's mom, Laura, has been raving about it since we made it for her when she visited). We ordered fresh floral leis from Hawaii (it took Heather a couple of minutes before she figured out they were real. God bless her and her blonde hair.) I also ordered gifts from Hawaii for the doorprizes, but one of them hasn't come in yet. Guess the wooden pineapple platter is mine now (muhahahaha). Games were actually fun. Danae has decided to change her name to "Kapunene" (hee). I'm still exhausted from it.

Oh, and then today, Heather asked me what we were doing for the bachelorette party, and when we were going to have it, and how I was going to invite people. Ugh! I just threw you a shower, can't I have a few days to think! Plus, she just flat out asked me. Are you supposed to do that? I would never ask that of her, but maybe that's just me. I love her, I really do. She's one of my best friends, but gah, sometimes she just doesn't think. But, I don't want to say anything or complain because it's her wedding and I am the maid of honor (so it's kinda my job) and she can get a little panicky when things don't go her way. And I do feel bad for feeling like this (I don't think I'm being unreasonable, though).  So, I'll just shut up until I come up with something (which is going to be hard because the other bridesmaid is 20 and we can't go anywhere where she can't go, which means no bars, no salsa dancing, no karaoke. Ugh! But, that's another rant for another day). I wanted to have someone come in and do henna tattooes, but it's a little too close to the wedding for that now. I got nada. Any suggestions?

Ok, only a little bit more. I swear... I have been watching 3 TV shows this weekend:

1. I finished disc 1 of S1 of Arrested Development. Yeah, I'm always a little late to jump on the bandwagon. I've gotten much better at jumping on pilots and great shows the past couple of years. Hopefully, if I send it back to Netflix tomorrow, I should get disc 2 on Wednesday. Woot!
2. I'm finally almost finished with Damages (I started it months ago and I don't know why I haven't finished yet. It's not like there wasn't a writer's strike going on for 3 months, or something). Two more episodes to go. Can I say that I have a new-found respect for Ted Danson? I mean, I knew Glenn Close rocked, but i never would've guess that Ted Danson could be so insane! I love it!
3. American Dreams! That's it; just American Dreams! Love! Love Meg and Roxanne. Love Luke (man, I have a huge crush on him now). Love Sam. Love Bandstand. Love that Joey Lawrence is on it (wasn't expecting that, haha). I just love it all. I started watching it after the party and now both my parents are hooked. My dad kept saying, "Oh, I remember that," and "My dad would've belted that kid," and that Meg reminded him of someone (but he still can't figure out who). I left the DVDs with the parents, because my dad complained that they wanted to finish it. Mom promised that she would bring it up to me tomorrow, since she's going to be in Tucson for a FBLA thing. We shall see if this actually happens.

I should stop now. Got a test tomorrow and I haven't made my study sheet yet.

I'm loving this icon meme. And I have to say:

Yay! for Arrested Development!
Yay! for American Dreams!
Yay! for Pushing Daisies!

Look how positive I am today! Lots of exclamation marks. :)

I have that same saran wrap icon saved as a possible future ad, but it takes me awhile before I give something the yes. Also, I am now wondering why I don't have a TWoP icon. Is yours steal-able? Or maybe I need one of the Tubey-girls? Hmmmm.

Oh and p.s.

Yay! for Kate Nash!

My bro just gave me that CD (birthday) so it's been a recent listen on my ipod.

Tubey-girls? Like this?

Actually no, not quite. I was thinking of the one that used to have two tubeys - one big and small - in pink. I did a quick search and couldn't find what I was looking for; maybe it doesn't exist now? I have the old wallpaper saved on my computer so I'm looking when I get home.

Yes, my TWoP icon is stealable. In fact, any of mine are, haha.

I'm really loving Arrested Development so far, especially Will Arnett. I have always found him hilarious, especially his guest spots on 30 Rock.
jenepel: AD: Lucille winkjenepel on March 3rd, 2008 08:09 pm (UTC)
Oooh, he guests on 30 Rock? I think that show is next on my list of things to download. I've only seen one episode but I really like Tina Fey.

I like Lucille, but Job is my bro's absolute favorite character. The episode with Spring break and Job's magic show is what sold him completely on the show.

I approve of your Tubey icon.

I also approve of your Luke crush, because he's very crushable. And it only gets worse. Watch him be sweet to Patty! Who did your dad want to belt? JJ? Tommy?

Yeah, I swear I'll quit commenting on this thread in random places and do work, but first...

I love Luke! Of course I haven't gotten to Milo's character yet, so we'll see. But Luke totally has my heart right now.

I can't say whether or not you'll crush on Chris or not, but for me, Luke kept my heart despite Milo. Small crush on Chris, sure. But not nearly as much as I love Luke.

I just love Luke more and more after each episode, especially when he's playing the piano or singing. I'm a sucker for musicians. Ooo, maybe I should find a Luke icon now! But, that requires me deleting another one of mine. Decisions, decisions.

I think my dad first said it about JJ, and then maybe Tommy. I think he also said his dad would've belted Patty too, haha.

I'm also excited about seeing Milo eventually, but I'm not sure how he can top Luke right now. We shall see.

He can't.

My friend is making a Luke icon for me because I never found one I liked well enough.

I just did some extensive searching for good Luke icons and came up empty. What's with all the Luke hate?

I couldn't get into ArDe. I tried. Apparently, it's not my type of humor.
